I’m a Professor of Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg).
My work focuses on applied machine learning and artificial intelligence, particularly for complex scientific and biomedical data. I’m interested in developing useful and robust AI methods, applying them to real-world problems, and exploring how AI can support scientific discovery and innovation.
Before joining HAW Hamburg, I was Professor of Data Science at NORDAKADEMIE and spent nearly a decade at Philips Research developing AI-driven solutions for medical imaging.
