I’m a Professor for Data Science at NORDAKADEMIE, a University of Applied Sciences with a dual study program. I work on applied machine learning across a wide range of real-world domains and on modern data science education. Before re-joining academia, I spent nearly a decade at Philips Research developing AI-driven medical imaging solutions for MRI, CT, and ultrasound that shaped clinical workflows and supported product innovation.
My work today focuses on developing and applying machine learning methods to practical problems, improving how we teach AI and how we integrate AI into education, and exploring how intelligent, data-driven systems can support scientific advancements, drive innovation in industry, and benfit society.
